Dr. Abdul Latheef Marath

Dr Abdul Latheef Marath is an experienced UK board-certified Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Adolescent and General Adult Psychiatry, as well as Addiction Psychiatry. He has worked for 19 years in the United Kingdom and for over three years in the United Arab Emirates.

His areas of expertise include ADHD, OCD, Depression, Anxiety disorders, Bipolar disorders, Psychotic disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD), Personality disorders, Postnatal Depression, Neuropsychiatric disorders, Dementia related behavioral problems, Stress management and Sexual Disorders.

He has an excellent track record in the management of alcohol use disorders, illicit drug dependence, and prescription medication–related addictions.

He completed his postgraduate training in Psychiatry in Liverpool, UK, and was awarded the MRCPsych (Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists). He also obtained the DCP (Diplomate in Clinical Psychiatry) from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He completed Higher Specialist Training in both General Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry in the UK and was awarded the CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training). He is listed on the General Medical Council Specialist Register and has worked across a wide range of clinical settings in several UK cities, including London, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle upon Tyne, and Norwich.

He has published his research in peer-reviewed scientific journals and delivered oral and poster presentations at academic conferences, receiving awards in recognition of his contributions.

Apart from his clinical work, he is actively involved in several other professional activities. He has provided postgraduate training to psychiatrists preparing for the Royal College of Psychiatrists examination (MRCPsych CASC).
His research portfolio includes participation in the European Union–funded international multicenter LEADER study, “Looking at the Economic Analyses of Drugs and Economic Recession.
